Dr. Jim Zheng - Professor
Dr. Jim P. Zheng is a Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering of Florida A&M University and Florida State University. He joined the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering in July 1997. Before this position, he has worked at US Army Research Laboratory in the Sensors and Electron Devices Directorate located at Fort Monmouth, NJ for about five (5) years. He has published more than eighty-two (82) articles in scholarly journals, and eighty (80) papers in conference proceedings in the fields of nano-sensors, energy storage, fuel cells, photonics, and thin film growth, and been awarded ten (10) patens. He has received National Research Council Fellow Award in 1993, Army Research & Development Achievement Award in 1997, NASA Faculty Research Award in 1999, and Progress Energy Professional Development Award in 2005. He is member of Materials Research Society, Electrochemical Society, and Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. He received B.S. degree in Physics at Fudan University, China in 1982, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1986 and 1990, respectively.
